Her Majesty's Mission to Mend the Palace Feud
For months now, whispers of a supposed feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have been echoing through the palace walls. Now, Queen Elizabeth is pulling out all the stops to smooth things over. "The queen is confident that she'll be able to get Kate and Meghan back on track," a royal insider exclusively told Closer Weekly, available on newsstands now.
Let’s face it, this isn’t an easy task. "The queen is extremely fair and isn't taking sides," the source added. But at 91 years young, the monarch is determined to uncover the truth behind this alleged rift. Not only has she already spoken with their husbands, Prince Harry and Prince William, but she’s also nudged the Duchess of Cambridge to step in and try to settle things herself. That’s what leadership looks like, folks.

Building Bridges Through Motherhood
Since Kate, 37, is already a mom-of-three, Her Majesty believes the brunette beauty can offer some comfort to Meg, also 37, who is expecting her first child with Harry, 34, this spring. “She believes that once Meghan gives birth, the two of them will have more in common and will bond over their children,” the insider explained. This doesn’t mean the differences will magically disappear overnight, but it’s a step in the right direction. The queen is optimistic that these two strong women will find common ground and set aside their differences for the sake of harmony.

Just recently, both duchesses attended a celebration honoring Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, March 5. “Setting a good example is at the top of the queen’s list of priorities,” the source shared. Although everyone was civil, William, 36, and Kate worked the room separately from Harry and Meghan. That’s not ideal, but it’s progress, right?
