Let’s face it, folks, George Clooney is more than just a Hollywood heartthrob. He’s now a proud dad who’s not shy about sharing his joy. The star of Catch-22 recently opened up about what it’s like being the father of 23-month-old twins, Alexander and Ella. And guess what? Life has only gotten better since these little bundles of joy entered the world with his wife, Amal Clooney.
George Clooney's Fun Side as a Dad
During an appearance on the Today show on May 7, the 58-year-old Clooney couldn’t help but joke about his kids. “They’re not terrible twos,” he said with a laugh. “They’re good kids. They’re happy kids. They laugh a lot.” But here’s the kicker — they’ve already started pulling pranks! “They put peanut butter on their shoes, so it looks like poo-poo on their shoes, and they think that’s hilarious,” George shared, clearly amused by his children’s antics.
George’s Marvel at Their Unique Personalities
The doting dad also revealed how fascinating it is to watch his kids grow and develop their distinct personalities. “They really come out with the personalities that they’re born with,” he said. “They’re just completely different, and they’re fun and smart.” And if that wasn’t impressive enough, George mentioned that his twins are already bilingual! “They can already do all their ABCs in Italian and in English, and I can’t do that in English,” he joked, leaving everyone in stitches.

Amal Clooney: The Force Behind It All
While George could talk about his kids all day, he’s quick to give credit where it’s due — to his wife, Amal. The human rights lawyer, whom George married in 2014, plays a pivotal role in raising the twins despite her demanding career. “She’s taking ISIS to court for the first time anyone’s taking ISIS to court,” he told host Savannah Guthrie. “She’s working on trying to get the Reuters journalists out of Myanmar. She’s doing all that, and she’s also an incredible mom — and a pretty great wife, too,” he gushed about the 41-year-old beauty.
George admitted that he feels like he’s hit the jackpot with Amal. “She’s an incredible mom, like, an incredible mom — and a pretty great wife, too,” he said. Clearly, Amal is juggling her career and family life with grace and poise.
Will There Be a Baby No. 3?
Although George and Amal are thrilled with their current family setup, a close friend revealed that baby No. 3 might not be in the cards. “Amal says their hands are full,” the friend shared with Closer Weekly in January. However, the couple has expressed interest in adopting a Syrian refugee child. “Bringing home a Syrian refugee child would be a dream fulfilled for Amal,” the source added.
