This revelation came during a lively segment on The View, where John Leguizamo, the lovable voice of Sid the Sloth, teased the movie's progress.
John Leguizamo’s Tease: “We’re All Back!”
During an appearance on The View on March 21, John Leguizamo shared some insider details about the movie. “We’re already halfway through the recordings, and it’s shaping up to be even funnier than the last one,” he said with a grin. “All the main characters are returning, and we really need Joy to come back!”
But Joy Behar quickly chimed in, “They didn’t ask me,” with a laugh. John, ever the good sport, joked, “You’re too busy!” The entire table erupted in laughter at the playful banter.

“It was fun playing your mom, even though we were sloths,” Joy joked, reminiscing about her role as Eunice, Sid’s mom. John playfully asked if her voice was inspired by his famous Sid impression, to which Joy replied, “I don’t even know if I could do it.” Despite the playful banter, it’s evident that Joy left a lasting impression on the franchise.

Even though Joy hasn’t been asked back for Ice Age, she’s keeping her schedule packed with her work on The View and her off-Broadway play, My First Ex-Husband.
