The event took place at his iconic Midtown NYC restaurant, The Lambs Club, where Geoffrey shared why The Kitchen holds a special place in his heart.
At 59, Geoffrey, who’s also the chef/partner behind Point Royal at The Diplomat Beach Resort, revealed that The Kitchen aligns perfectly with his passion for cooking. “This show is special because it’s really what I do,” he said exclusively. And it’s not just about cooking—it’s about making people feel confident in the kitchen. “We try to teach folks how to do simple things and make them believe they can actually pull it off,” Geoffrey explained with enthusiasm. Geoffrey revealed that the camaraderie among the Kitchen cast extends beyond their roles. “I tell my wife, ‘Oh, I’m going to the set,’ and she says, ‘You’re always so happy.’ And I’m like, yeah, it’s like going to camp for three days with your best friends. We hang out all week, and it’s pranks all the time,” Geoffrey confessed. Jeff Mauro, in particular, has become like a son to him. This genuine friendship adds an extra layer of warmth to the show, making it feel like a family gathering.
