Let’s give it up for Daymond John! The Shark Tank star is walking down the aisle of love and happiness. During an exclusive chat with Closer Weekly at the Samsung Charity Gala in NYC on Thursday, Sept. 27, Daymond revealed that he's officially said "I do" to his longtime sweetheart, Heather Taras, in an intimate and private ceremony. It's a union that’s truly been in the making for years.
Daymond Opens Up About His Special Day
When asked about the wedding, Daymond, who’s now 49, shared how it was a day filled with joy and celebration. "It was [a great day]. Filled with family and friends, very, very private — a few people knew about it and it wasn’t in the public eye and I got married to the girl of my dreams," he told Closer at the gala. You can almost hear the happiness in his voice, can't you? But when the conversation turned to the exact date of the big day, Daymond decided to keep that detail under wraps. With a playful smirk, he teased, "I don’t remember. I am not telling you," and then burst into laughter. That's Daymond for you—always keeping things light and fun!

A Family Affair
Daymond and Heather's love story began long before the wedding bells rang. They announced their engagement back in September 2016 and welcomed their beautiful daughter, Minka Jagger John, who's now two years old. Daymond, who is also a proud father to two adult daughters, Yasmeen John and Destiny John, from a previous relationship, has truly built a blended family filled with love and laughter. It's a family that continues to grow stronger with each passing day.
Married Life: Does Anything Change?
Now that Daymond and Heather are officially Mr. and Mrs. John, has their dynamic shifted? According to Daymond, not one bit. “We have been together for quite some time and no, nothing has changed. It has been really great and I am enjoying it,” he said, beaming with joy about their newfound marital bliss. Isn't that just the sweetest thing?

A Destination Wedding That Had to Change Plans
In a previous conversation with Closer back in November 2017, Daymond opened up about the couple's initial plans for their big day. At the time, the couple was set on a destination wedding in a tropical paradise, but unfortunately, hurricanes in the Caribbean threw a wrench in their plans. “We had to switch things around [because of what] happened in the Caribbean. We want it to be in a tropical place [with a] super small [guest list],” he explained. It's clear that while their location may have changed, their love and commitment to each other remained steadfast.
