"THANK U from the bottom of my heart to the marvelous @LondonFire who attended to the terrifying fire yesterday in our flat," she wrote. In another tweet, she praised her husband, Percy, calling him a hero for his swift action. "Percy had already doused the flames consuming the entire wall with a handheld extinguisher," she added, warning others not to underestimate the dangers of fire.

    According to a representative for Joan, the couple's quick thinking was crucial in preventing a much worse outcome. "Joan smelled some smoke and Percy went out to investigate," the rep explained to People. "They discovered that the guest suite was on fire. Luckily, Percy had two fire extinguishers in the apartment, so he rushed in to start putting the fire out while Joan called the fire brigade." By the time the fire trucks arrived, Percy had managed to control most of the flames, showcasing his bravery and resourcefulness.

    Thankfully, Joan and Percy escaped the fire unscathed, though they were understandably shaken by the ordeal. The rep emphasized that Percy's actions were instrumental in saving the day. "He was the one who put the fire out and took control until the fire brigade arrived," the rep noted. Around 10 firefighters responded to the scene, working tirelessly for over an hour to fully extinguish the flames.
