Laughing Through Life: Gavin Rossdale Celebrates His Sons’ Sense of Humor

Let me tell you something: there's nothing quite like a good laugh to brighten up your day. Gavin Rossdale knows this all too well, and he couldn't be prouder of his three boys for having such an amazing sense of humor. It’s one of the things he cherishes most about them. "If you're funny, your life is easier," the 53-year-old rock star told Us Weekly. "Humor is like a superpower—it helps you get through the toughest times." He went on to say that laughter isn't just about fun; it's also a powerful tool for learning and growing. When his sons say something that cracks him up, it fills him with pride. "It makes me feel like the luckiest dad in the world," he said with a smile.

Parenting: A Nightmare Worth Every Moment

Now, here's the thing about being a parent: it’s not always easy. Gavin Rossdale knows this firsthand. He once joked that raising kids can feel like a nightmare at times. "Parenting is tough," he admitted. "Kids can turn your life upside down." But then he added, with a twinkle in his eye, "It's also the best thing that could ever happen to you. They give you a whole new lease on life." Gavin shares his three sons—Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 5—with ex-wife Gwen Stefani. Despite their divorce, they’ve worked hard to keep things positive for their kids.

Divorce Doesn’t Mean Disconnection

Gavin and Gwen Stefani, the lead singer of No Doubt, divorced in 2016. But even though they're no longer together romantically, they’ve made it their mission to ensure their children remain their top priority. "Their focus has always been on maintaining a safe and secure home environment for their kids, no matter what’s going on between them," explained a close source to People magazine shortly after the split. "When you're co-parenting, you're emotionally invested in ways you might not have expected." It’s clear that both Gavin and Gwen are committed to putting their kids first, no matter what.
