She reportedly tied the knot with her screenwriter husband, Craig Coyne, for a second time—just six months after their first nuptials. Talk about doubling down on love!
On April 13, the 37-year-old celebrated her love with Craig, also 37, at the sprawling Prairie Chapel Ranch, owned by her parents, George and Laura Bush, in Crawford, Texas. The first time around, the couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Maine back in October. This second celebration was like an encore performance, but this time with a bigger audience and even more joy.

Barbara Reflects on Her First Wedding
Barbara opened up to People after her first wedding, sharing how special the day was for her. “It was wonderful. It was everything we wanted,” she said, glowing with happiness. The intimate ceremony in Maine was exactly what the couple had envisioned—a small gathering filled with love and cherished memories. “We wanted to do it while my grandfather was still healthy,” she explained, referring to her beloved grandfather, President George H.W. Bush, who passed away just weeks later.
Only about 20 of their closest friends and family were present for the first ceremony, making it an incredibly private and special occasion. Jenna Bush Hager, Barbara’s twin sister, spoke about the first wedding on Today, describing it as "a little bit like my elusive sister." Jenna added, "But also, just family in a place that means family love, and it was beautiful." This second celebration, however, was a much bigger affair, with over 100 people in attendance. Talk about expanding the guest list!

Remembering Ganny
The news of the second wedding came just two days after the one-year anniversary of the passing of Barbara's grandmother, Barbara Bush. Known affectionately as "Ganny," she was unable to attend either ceremony, having passed away in April 2018. But Barbara shared how she felt her grandmother's presence at the first wedding. “The second that it was announced that we were husband and wife, it started to rain,” she told People. “I thought, ‘That’s my grandmother. She’s with us.’” It's easy to imagine that Ganny was there in spirit at the second wedding as well, watching over her granddaughter's happiness.
Why Two Weddings?
Having two weddings might seem like a lot, but for Barbara and Craig, it made perfect sense. The first ceremony was a deeply personal affair, meant for their closest loved ones. The second wedding, however, allowed them to share their joy with a wider circle of friends and family.
